Model of Roman Baths in fourth century

New digital reconstruction models of the site have been created

The Circular Bath
Intermittent film projections of life-sized male bathers moving around beside the bath have been projected onto the east and west walls from a high level. The ‘shows’ last about 90 seconds and are about four minutes apart.

The West Baths
As well as making changes to the walkways we have improved the decoration and interpretation of this area.

The Shops
Both shops have been refurbished as part of our ongoing programme of shop improvements. The lower museum shop has new entry arrangements to recognize the revised visitor flow through the museum, all of which will now pass this shop.

York Street
We will now explore opportunities to extend the visit into the adjacent void under York Street and if possible introduce new activities and interpretation that will appeal to new audiences that do not currently visit the Roman Baths.
