Summer evening opening
Relax and enjoy the romantic torchlit ambience of the Great Bath and avoid the crowds by visiting on a summer evening. The site and shop are open until 10.00pm every evening in August apart from the 19th (last admission 9.00pm). The Pump Room restaurant is also open, last orders 9pm. To book a table ring 01225 444477.

Family activities at the Roman Baths
Roman Coins 2 August, Potions or Poisons? 9 August, Statues with style 16 August, and Magical mosaics 23 August, 10.00-1.00pm and 2.00-4.00pm These drop-in activities are free once on site and normal admission charges apply.

Store tours
A chance to look behind the scenes in the museum stores of the Roman Baths and find out about the archaeology of your local area. Roman Baths Store tour: 19 August  at 10am. Book on 01225 477779. Special opening of the St John's store in Locksbrook Road as part of Heritage Open Days, 9 and 11 September, 11.00am-3.00pm, no need to book.

Booking now......Time for Tompion 31 October
Sunday 31 October, 9 -11am at the Pump Room.  £13 per person (£11 for Discovery Card Holders) to include a two course Pump Room breakfast. Stephen Clews, Manager of the Roman Baths and Pump Room, will open and reset the Tompion clock and talk about the history of this famous timepiece. Please ring 01225 477773 to book a place.

The Diana Dresses
A special exhibition of ten dresses that belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales is on show in the Fashion Museum at the Assembly Rooms. The display continues until  9 January 2010.

Don McCullin: Shaped by War
11 September - 21 November at the Victoria Art Gallery. The largest ever retrospective dedicated to the Somerset-based veteran photographer, to mark his 75th year.

Heritage Open Days
9-12 September. 21 venues will be taking part in the Heritage Open Days this year, including the St John's Store in Locksbrook Road for the Roman Baths. This national, annual event is co-ordinated by the Civic Trust and English Heritage. It is designed to allow free access for members of the public to local properties which are not normally open.
