Celebrating the rich heritage and contributions of Black communities in Bath under the theme ‘Reclaiming Narratives’.

As part of Black History Month at Bath Spa University, hear from speakers from well-known institutions in Bath to take a deeper look at the hidden histories of Black people in Britain, hear new perspectives on stories you thought you knew and understand the work that is being carried out in decolonising our history. 

The panel of speakers will be:

  • Amanda Hart – Roman Baths and Pump Room Manager
  • Dr Amy Frost - Senior Curator of Bath Preservation Trust
  • Cathryn Spence - Curator and Archivist at Bath Abbey
  • Mark De’Lisser - Bath based poet, facilitator and youth mentor
  • Polly Andrews – Learning Manager at Bath Abbey
  • Tim Moore - National Trust Project Curator at Bath Assembly Rooms
Event Details

The event will be hosted at the Michael Tippett Centre at Bath Spa University, doors will be open from 6pm and the event will start at 6:30pm. Drinks and canapés will be served.
