Come and see a free display of objects from Roman Bath in the Pump Room.
A temporary display celebrating the bicentenary of the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution is on display in the King’s Lounge of the Pump Room.
The objects on show give us a snapshot of everyday life in and around Roman Bath, and include:
- an amphora stopper to seal a storage jar used for transporting wine or fish sauce
- a fragment of mosaic flooring
- brooches for fastening clothes
- a range of coins
You can see the display for free by coming into the Stall Street entrance to the Pump Room during opening hours, from 9am-5pm.
