"We have always loved visiting the Roman Baths and, over the years, have seen the many improvements made to the visitor experience. Therefore, we welcomed the opportunities to contribute to that improvement. As a result of our contributions, we had the chance to see the project work and meet the people involved at all stages, including an early viewing of the newly uncovered remains during the work. We also had the opportunity to visit the workshop where they recorded and analysed the stones stored under York Street and other locations. This allowed us to spend time with experts, learn more about their methodology, and hear some of the early results of their work. Including the Foundation in your will

After your loved ones are taken care of, there are four ways you can include the Foundation in your will:

A Share of Your Estate
Leave a percentage of your estate (residuary gift) after other wishes are fulfilled. This is inflation-proof and maximises the impact of your legacy. Even a small percentage like 1%, can make a significant impact.

A Fixed Amount
You can leave a specific sum (pecuniary gift). Index-linking this amount helps it retain value despite inflation. Your solicitor can advise on this.

A Specific Item
Consider leaving a cherished item, such as jewellery, art, or property. We may use or sell it to support our work. Contact us if you wish to explore this option.

Amend Your Will
Add a gift to your existing will through a codicil, a simple legal document that modifies your current will. Your solicitor can guide you.

By leaving a gift in your will to the Roman Baths Foundation, you’ll be invited to join the Minerva Society, recognising your generosity and offering exclusive access to special events, including behind-the-scenes tours. You’ll connect with others who share a passion for preserving the Roman Baths. While there’s no obligation to share your intentions, doing so allows us to honour your support and involve you further in our work.
