  1. Tickets are for use by the purchaser only and are not valid for re-sale. 
  2. Payment must be made in full at the time of buying a ticket either by credit card or debit card.
  3. Upon purchase of a ticket from our website, you will receive an order confirmation email with your ticket attached.
  4. Please check that you have received an email containing your ticket. We take no responsibility should you not receive this email due to reasons outside our control e.g., junk or spam filtering. There will be no access to the venue without a valid ticket. 
  5. Tickets are purchased under the condition that they are non-refundable. 
  6. For disabled people who need to bring a personal assistant we offer one free ticket per event, please call our group booking team on 01225 477785 to book your ticket. We admit assistance dogs. Please see our accessibility page for further information on getting around the sites.
  7. The Roman Baths is a 2,000-year-old scheduled monument and a feature of the site is the original Roman paving that you are able to walk on as part of your event. This paving is necessarily uneven, worn and sometimes slippery and you are asked to exercise due care and attention when walking on it. Bath & North East Somerset Council accepts no liability for injuries caused due to the Roman paving, whether by falling, tripping or by any other means.
  8. The warm water that flows through the site from the thermal spring to the Roman drain is untreated and is unfit for human consumption. Jumping in this water is a highly dangerous practice and is forbidden. Bath & North East Somerset Council accepts no liability for illness caused thereby.
  9. Whilst you and other ticket holders are visiting the museums, you and your guests must comply with all directions of our staff, relevant health and safety notices, policies and announcements made available to you.
  10. Bath & North East Somerset Council, acting reasonably at all times, reserves the right to refuse admission to the event, ban from entry to the event, or remove from the venue without any right to a refund any person whose presence or behaviour may affect the enjoyment and/or safety of other guests or staff; or who acts in an inappropriate and/or undesirable manner whilst travelling to the event, where such behaviour has been reported to the Council by a reliable independent source; has been convicted of a criminal offence relating to B&NES, or civil unrest at B&NES property/museums; uses violent, aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or insulting words or behaviour or in any way behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; climbs or stands upon barriers, walls, roofs, exhibits or any other features at the site.
  11. Bath & North East Somerset Council reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings or prosecute any person found damaging or defacing any part of the buildings, walls, barriers, exhibits or fabrics at the museum or has displayed any sign or visible representation of any kind which is, or could be reasonably judged to be, threatening, abusive or insulting or has previously acted in any manner which has caused any person to report that individual to the Council; or is attempting to regain admission to the event or has been found inside the event without a valid ticket; or has purchased or obtained any tickets or discount vouchers from a ticket tout or the Council reasonably believes that they have purchased a ticket from an unauthorised source. 
  12. If any visitor in breach of any of these terms and conditions is a member of a group, then such group of individuals may also, at Bath & North East Somerset Council’s sole discretion, be denied entry or escorted from the event without any right to a refund.
  13. We shall have the right to refuse admission or to eject you and any other Ticket holder from the event if in our reasonable opinion, granting you admission might be a risk to our property, the safety of others and/or affect the enjoyment of the event by others and in particular (but without limitation) where there is a breach of the following:
  • No smoking, including e-cigarettes;
  • No pets or animals except for assistance dogs;
  • No consumption of food or drink that has not been purchased from the on site facilities;
  • No offensive weapons;
  • No access to any area of the site other than areas designated for access by event guests;
  • No unnecessary noise upon exiting the premises or behaviour likely to annoy, offend or intimidate the event staff;
  • No use of illegal drugs or consumption of alcohol except in authorised places and in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003;
  • Under 12s are not permitted at the Roman Comedy Tour events;
  • No use of roller skates, roller blades, roller-shoes, scooters, toys, toy weapons or throwing toys is permitted in the venues.
